This piece is related to my experience being born and raised in South London and growing up to Grime music. It is part of a project I completed in my final year of university. It’s an Instrumental I’m proud of - simply because I usually don’t make Grime!

Isiah John:
I’m a singer/songwriter and producer. When I started the BA Sound Design course I was unsure whether or not this would help me with what I want to do in life, but after spending three years with the lecturers learning about sound design I have been able to incorporate that into my daily work making music.
I have definitely picked up life-long skills on the course to use for my music career which started in 2016 just before I joined university, and in the four years since it's grown and developed a lot.
With songs regularly played on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Asian Network, I’m going to continue my career hoping to be able to go mainstream soon.
